Slouchy Helix Hat Pattern
My Slouchy Helix Hat pattern is finally ready for purchase and download! I'm so excited to share this pattern with you. It is a great stashbuster. I only used 130 yards or 40g of DK weight yarn for the Main color and 68 yards or 24g for each stripe color. You could easily add one or two more stripe colors to use up even more of your stash.
Knitting stripes in a helix is really fun and there are no color jogs to worry about. The trick to working the stripes is to keep your yarn in front of you on a table. If you don't have pets you can manage your yarn on your lap by placing your working yarn on your left side, the color that you will use after your working yarn on your lap and the third color you will use on your right side. When you are ready to switch colors pick up your ball of working yarn and lift it over the other balls of yarn.
This pattern is also available in my Ravelry store at UCanKnit http://www.ravelry.com/designers/sarah-kelliher. I hope you enjoy using up your odds and ends to make this fun hat. I can't wait to see all of the different versions you make.
